Compress

Compress makes image files smaller for the web, email or upload limits. You see the result and the new file size as you go. It runs on your device, is free and needs no account.

Compress a picture

  1. Open Compress from the sidebar and drop in a picture. JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.
  2. Move the Compression slider. Left keeps the best quality, right gives the smallest file.
  3. Pick the file type under Export as.
  4. Check the before and after view and the size saved.
  5. Press Download.

  • Compress does not change the size of the picture in pixels, only the file size.
