Motionsmith

Open Motionsmith from the sidebar. The switch at the top picks Video or Story. You can switch at any time, and a video that is being made keeps going.

Anyone can open the page and type. To make a video you need an account. New accounts start with free credits.

Your newest videos sit in a strip under the page. Open one to see it again. Start fresh clears the page, and your videos stay saved.

1. Pick Video at the top.
2. Describe the clip. Stuck for an idea? Press the sparkle button while the box is empty and it fills in a ready-made one.
3. Pick the model, shape, length and sound. The price shows under the box before you press anything.
4. Press Generate. Most videos take 1 to 3 minutes. You can leave the page and it keeps going.
5. When it is ready, press Download. You can also copy the prompt or delete the video.

Out of the box you get Seedance 2.0 Fast, 16:9, 15 seconds, with sound. That costs 180 credits.

• Shape. 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 21:9. Not every model makes every shape. If you pick a model that cannot make your shape, it switches to 16:9.
• Length. 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds, plus a few lengths only some models have (Veo makes 4, 6 and 8). If your model cannot make the length you pick, Motionsmith switches the model for you: Seedance 2.0 Fast up to 15 seconds, Seedance 2.5 above that.
• Long videos. Only Seedance 2.5 makes 45 and 60 seconds. These are made in two parts and take 10 to 20 minutes.
• Sound. On or off. Some models always add sound and some never do. On some models, sound off costs less. The note under the box tells you which.
• Quality. Every video is 720p. There is no setting for it.

Price is credits a second times the length. Where a model has a cheaper price with sound off, it is shown in brackets. Free and Pro accounts get the same models at the same prices.

Two examples: Seedance 2.5 at 60 seconds is 1,500 credits. Veo 3.1 at 8 seconds with sound is 152 credits.

Story mode plans a short film for you. It writes the script, draws each character and place once so they look the same in every scene, then makes the scenes and joins them into one video. You check everything before you spend a credit.

1. Pick Story at the top and type your idea (3 to 2,000 characters). If you like, add how it should start and how it should end.
2. Pick the model, shape, number of scenes (2 to 8, 3 to start) and scene length (5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds, 10 to start). Turn sound on or off.
3. Press Write story. In about 20 seconds you get a title, the look of the film, the characters (1 to 4), the places (1 to 3) and every scene. Writing is free.
4. Change anything you want. Your edits save on their own.
5. Press Make the pictures. You get one picture of each character and place, at 4 credits each. Any picture can be redone for 4 credits.
6. Press Make scene 1, then the next scene, and so on. Scenes are made one at a time. You can redo the last one.
7. When every scene is made, press Join into one video. Joining is free. Then press Download.

Good to know

• Once scene 1 is made, the model, shape, scene length and sound are fixed for that story.
• A scene can have up to 3 characters and one place. You can add scenes up to 8 and remove them down to 2. A scene that already has a video cannot be removed.
• Only the joined video has a download button. Single scenes play on the page.
• With Kling O3 Pro, you can tick Carries on from scene N so a scene starts on the last frame of the one before.
• A story shows up in your list once at least one scene is made.

Story models

Seedance 2.0 Fast is picked to start. If you choose 30 second scenes on a model that cannot make them, it switches to Seedance 2.5.

Write story can be used 30 times a day on Free and 100 times a day on Pro. The count resets at midnight UTC. If writing fails, that try is given back.

• When you press Generate, the credits are set aside. You only pay when the video arrives.
• You get the credits back if the video fails, is blocked by the safety check, takes longer than 40 minutes, or you press Stop.
• If you do not have enough credits, a window opens so you can buy more.
• Deleting a finished video does not give credits back.
• Story pictures work the same way: you only pay for a picture that is made.

Stopping a video

Press Stop while a video is rendering to cancel it and get your credits back. If it finished just before you pressed Stop, you get the video and pay for it.

Some models cannot be stopped once they start: Kling 3 Pro, Kling 3 Standard, Seedance 2.5 (up to 30 seconds), Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, LTX 2.5 Pro, LTX 2.5 Fast and Cinema Studio 4.0. They finish in a few minutes.

• Up to 3 videos can be rendering at once. Story scenes count toward this.
• Videos are kept for 30 days. Stories are kept for 30 days from the last time you worked on them.
• A video cannot be deleted while it is rendering.
• Deleting a story removes its script, scenes and joined video. It cannot be undone.
